Could this also be part of my engagement? What lies behind the White Saviour Industrial Complex? In this Workshop we want to introduce the historical and structural context of the White Saviour Industrial Complex and the way it is intertwined with Racism. But most importantly, we want to honestly look at ourselves and reflect on how we in our engagement also contribute to White Saviourism. That is the starting point to find ways of how we can engage without reproducing harmful behaviour. As we cannot simply change the world in two hours, this workshop serves as a space for reflection, exchange, and sharing experiences on how oppressive structures (un)intentionally shape our individual behaviour, and on how we can counter these dynamics.
