Democratic civil society is under pressure. Legal, financial, and economic barriers are increasingly hampering the work of civil society actors in many countries. Democratic, human rights-based, and particularly vulnerable actors are under attack, and their spaces for civic participation and shaping society are being challenged and restricted — especially by right-wing nationalist political actors and groups. At the same time, election results show that illiberal and undemocratic attitudes are becoming socially acceptable within the mainstream of our societies and are finding increasing political legitimacy. Building on the event held in 2024, we are once again inviting you to a multi-perspective mash-up — a space for reflection and development. We want to explore different concepts and the people behind them who are addressing current developments and phenomena both conceptually and pedagogically, and together formulate, (re-)discover, and practically experiment with approaches for educational engagement. Rechtliche, finanzielle und wirtschaftliche Hürden erschweren die Arbeit zivilgesellschaftlicher Akteure in vielen Ländern zunehmend. Demokratische/​menschenrechtliche und insbesondere vulnerable Akteure werden angegriffen und ihre gesellschaftlichen Mitwirkungs- und Gestaltungsräume werden insbesondere durch rechtsnationale politische Akteure und -Gruppierungen angefeindet und eingeschränkt. Wahlergebnisse zeitigen aber auch, dass in Mitte unserer Gesellschaften illiberale und undemokratische Einstellungen hoffähig werden und zunehmend politisch Akzeptanz finden. Basierend auf der in 2024 durchgeführten Veranstaltung laden wir erneut zum multiperspektivischen Mash-Up, zum Nachdenken und Entwickeln ein. Wir wollen verschiedene Konzepte und ihre Protagonist\*innen kennenlernen, die die aktuellen Entwicklungen/​Phänomene konzeptionell und pädagogisch aufgreifen, sowie gemeinsam Ansätze für eine pädagogische Bearbeitung formulieren, (wieder-) entdecken und praktisch experimentell untersuchen.
